Lithuanian conductor, composer, and artist Mindaugas Piečaitis composed and directed this piece, entitled CATcerto for Nora The Piano Cat and orchestra, where Nora, the soloist, was brought in via video.

 

 

 

Not exactly opera, per se, (unless it makes you think of Rossini's Duetto Buffo di Due Gatti), but this piece is a great example of how someone with creativity and playfulness can embrace our YouTube-oriented society and bring classical music into the 21st Century.
